On November 29, 2008, I, along with a good friend and my wife, went to Lambert's Cafe in Foley, Alabama, on a one day road trip. I had heard of this restaurant for some time, being famous for being the "home of the throwed rolls." What they do that sets them apart is to throw freshly baked (and hot) bread to (or at) you. This is me catching said roll.
I thoroughly recommend this restaurant, because in addition to the throwed rolls, they bring around blackeyed peas, macaroni and tomatoes, fried potatoes and onions, and of course, the bread, with molasses and/or apple butter.
