Covers the complete rebluing of a barreled action...warning...not for the faint of heart...Metal prep is key to any refinishing project. You do anything you see in my videos at your own risk.

  • Your how to video's would be alot better if you would clean your work area once in awhile! All your vids show you live like a bum.

I wouldn't allow you to work on my stuff just because of that! I can hear it now, "Oops sorry customer, I lost your firing pin in this shit-hole I call a work-space, so I guess I'll have to charge you extra" ...Take some pride in yourself, Man. Jeeze!

  • @poopdogsays Actually, if you watch my more recent work, you'll see that I actually have a few very organized shop spaces to do any gunsmithing, handloading, etc. This video was shot ay my parent's house, and yes, my Dad's shop is very messy.

  • You musta worked in a salon the way you handled that hairdryer..Would it be the same concept to blue my AK?..Any quick tips?

  • @rubal626 For an AK, I would recommend a good maganese Phosphating (parkerizing)

  • Could you benefit us by providing some tips on removing old blue on those "hard to touch" places on the barrel? Thank you.

  • @flyingturtle1 Use the wire wheel on your bench grinder...works great.

  • Dont round the edges please.

  • i kept thinking you were saying "thin" not "Finn" you really should call it "Finnish" just not to offend anyone :)

  • Dont you have a polishing/buffing wheel set up? after the sanding, a buffing wheel will make that barrel SMOOTH!

  • i am the 10,000th viewer!

  • I did this once to an old .22 and it worked great. I actually submerged the barrel in the bathtub with very hot water to get it up to temperature and then just dried it quick and appied the blue while it was hot. Came out awesome but I did do 3 or 4 coats.

  • Keep the videos long Eric. I'm a visual learner too. I would prefer 10 parts to 1. Thanks for the great work.

  • @flyingturtle1 you can soak the action in vinegar to remove bluing

  • Why not use the wheel buffer to buff the steel? Like you did in the last vid....
