Classic Game Room HD - FROGGER for Atari 5200 review

Classic Game Room HD review FROGGER for Atari 5200, is this version of Frogger better than the Atari 2600, ColecoVision or arcade version? (Nooooooo!) Not even close, but it is still FROGGGGGAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! Old one yes, this would be a good game if the 5200 controllers werent incapable of actually controlling video games. The designers of Frogger who brought it to the 5200 tried to make the game work on the dreadful 5200 analog, button breaking piece of junk. You can play Frogger with the joystick and button or try playing it with the keypad. Either way it sucks, stick with other versions of Frogger. There are many to choose from. This CGR review of Frogger has gameplay from Frogger on Atari 5200 showing old school Atari Frogger game play in action as Frogger tries to cross the road but gets mangled because the 5200 controller is against him.

Seriously. That is the most F'ed up thing ever for the control scheme. You have to point the limpdick joystick AND press the button to jump!?

I never had a 5200 back in the day so had no idea the controls were so bolloxed. Thanks CGRHD for the education.

Frogger and PAC-MAN would be my first 2 games to buy if I got an old console like this because there classics how could they mess them up?

imagine tetras where you need to press 6 buttons in the right order to flip and its like frogger
