Hughesnet stinks! often slower than dial up and costs me 4 1/2 times more.

Our Hughesnet connection worked ok when we first got it, but about 3 months to the day it slowed down considerably. We took the middle service and they have one faster speed. I am certain that they deliberatly slow you down so you will spend more money. I'm already paying $89. a month! And why would I give more money to a company that is not delivering what their being paid for?
I hate them and hope they go out of business...

I don't know what the video has to do with the description, but it was funny. I've had satellite since 2002. Hughesnet took over in 2006, raised my monthly bill and lowered my bandwidth allowance from 480Mb per day to 200Mb per day and instituted a 24 hour cap (instead of 2 to 4 hour cap). They cap at 0 so my internet is completely useless during the cap. Trust me, as a longtime customer, I can attest that Hughesnet sucks. Look into Millenicom. Uses sprint or verizon 3G. It's my new ISP.

If anyone is thinking about switching from DSL to Hughes Net I Say stay they put holes in wall and Dial up is no compare Dial Up way way way faster.

i called for tech support because ants crawl faster than my internet... they actually demnded me to run speed tests 6 times a day for three days before they would look at anything??? some at like 3 am.... i hope they choke on their money
