listen to the song from Regina's cancer perspective and the entire verse about 'not much hair left on his head' and just eating bread and going right back to sleep make complete sense. Its heartbreakeningly sad, but gorgeous that she chose to share it this way

people, this isn't literally about the Biblical Samson and Delilah - thus 'the Bible didn't mention us'. A man she loved got cancer, so his hair 'was long when we first met', but as he lost his hair and his strength she was reminded of Samson - from the Bible. But this is about her love and downfall - its personal, thus 'the history books' and the Bible forgot and didn't mention them. Sad and beautiful.
