Watch crows from a safe distance and listen to the calls they make and then try to imitate them later. Record them for future reference. carefully note their behavior as they call. If they fly away in a panic-know this call but never imitate it.It is more effective than a scare crow!

You cannot just blow into a crow call like a trumpet-you will never get a true crow tone. This sounds like a young crow just out of the nest. Even so not fully accurate. You need to listen to actual crows an dtry imitating them. They do not sound high pitched at all-notice?

i struggle with that 1, i agree with u its not the best

It'll never compete with a haydels, period!

@cressy7isback Thanks, I'll give it a try.

Blow harder. You need a little more air pressure to make it sound proper.

@holladaysfantasy Thanks for the tip, tried that on some others & It makes them squeal so It doesn't work on every different one, just try different ways I suppose ??

@gunvidder I have tried 4 different brands/models and more air pressure works on all of them for me. Also try "growling" into the call and/or rolling your tongue while using it for different sounds. Listen to the crows and try to imitate the sounds they make. I have the H.S. Strut Hammerin Crow call and it works great.

@holladaysfantasy The growling bit is the hard one, sometimes it's easy & just happens but mostly It just doesn't happen. Some calls are easier to get the sound, all down to the individuall I think ??
