Zyklon - Roller Coaster

- Zyklon Roller Coaster at Fun Spot -

Zyklon (sometimes spelled Zyclon in the park) is a Pinfari made coaster. This model is often seen at fairs and festivals as a portable coaster and in fact, this coaster did travel until Fun Spot gave it a permanent home.

Nothing too special here - the video is a single shot of the ride in action. A good ride for first-timers or families.

Several of my top rated steels are compact steel coasters. I love them. I love the instrumental #s with the videos on this channel, too. Very midway-esque. I don't know where Gonch gets all these cool fusion tunes (what I call them) by I love them.

I rode this on the 2nd of October in nc and I though I was gonna fall out, but you don't and this ride is actually fun for beginners and little kids who want to experience something else than the regular 5 foot tall drop....

There's used to be a green Zyklon Z47 in Tel Aviv for almost 30 years. In December 2009 - they removed it :-(

This looks the SAME ride that was at Botton Brothers Pleasure Beach, Skegness, United Kingdom during the 1980s.

That was ALSO called 'Zyclon' or 'Zyklon'.

I remember the design of the cars and the 'downward spiral section'.

German for cyclone or not, zyklon has a terrible diabolical double meaning. Wherever this ride has gone controversy has followed it. When one was part of a traveling midway here over twenty-five years ago the local Jewish community took pains to note the similarity of the ride name to the name of the poison gas "zyklon b" used to kill over a million Jews in the nazi death camps. It is not a thing to make light of. Zyklon will forever be a death word to many of us.
