When they come form the stock contractors who are in the business of supplying rodeo stock, they earn their keep which ensures the contractor can keep them well fed and taken care of.
One other thing to mention is that 99% of rodeos no longer allow any form of mistreatment to the animals. As competitors, we are basically allowed to cover their eyes with an arm and hold on while they are being saddled. Its the cowboys who usually take a serious beating.

Wheat you amy or may not realize about the animals in this video is that they ussually come form 1 of 2 places a horse feed lot where they are slated for slaughter or from stock contractors. When thye come form the slaughter pens, they get a second chance and perhaps if they do show bucking tenancies, the contractor will keep them.

so many beautiful horses, if given the proper care and time could be so much better off and not "wild" or whatever.. this is disgusting!
