@johnbaptist15 Because we aren't being paid anything. In fact, we incur an extremely high cost, namely ostracism, isolation, death threats, the pain of leaving one's religion of many years, and the fear of how life will be like without Islam. It's a very high cost, so I am not surprised that people are so discouraged from leaving Islam

You have my support.

I wish you guys the best of luck
Good luck with the group...
However make sure it is only for the Muslims that leave Islam for no religion...
If they convert to other religions such as Christianity, they deserve no support :-)
I mean, why would you go for an "inferior religion" - no religion at all is better!
Its a shame they use their free-thinking to get out of one and then some how limit it and get brainwashed into another one!!!!!!!
Its sad...very sad.

I wouldn't agree. Buddhism, Jainism, Bahaism, Sikhism, and other religions are far superior to Islam

The Qur'an mentions apostasy thirteen times but never specifies execution or any other punitive action against the apostate. The Scripture also refers to two historic and punished cases of apostasy during the Medinan period. The only authenticated case of the prophet punishing apostates involves the party of the tribes of 'Ukul' who excepted Islam, committed murder and then apostatized, while there are number of authenticated traditions in which the prophet let go unpunished.

I don't recall ever saying that apostasy recieves the death penalty. You assume too much. But now that you mention it, apostasy does recieve death in every Islamic school of thought, and Muhammad does point out certain circumstances where a Muslim could be killed, one of them being apostasy.
