This is really driving me mad, Somebody here commenting that Ringo is not that good because he is just following the other guy. Well, of course he is That was a SURPRISE. He did NOT rehearse at all with the band. Which means, that last time he played that song was IN STUDIO about FORTY YEARS AGO. Now, let's see smart alec, how good you are, to pick up a song in front of THAT CROWD COLD TURKEY BY THE SEAT OF YOUR PANTS. And Ringo is not a good drummer??!! You gotta be kidding right?

Some people are just morons who write or speak before they think, or aren't capable of thinking or haven't a clue what they're talking about. The last time Ringo played "Birthday" was during the White Album sessions in 1968. How much do YOU actually remember from over 40 years ago, if you're even that old? So yeah, maybe Ringo forgot the arrangement and what he played. Show us YOUR drum tracks to Beatles songs, douche bag! Ringo is awesome, all REAL drummers know that instinctively.

Yes it was. He was a much better guitar player than I ever knew. It was a very good show but everyone was waiting for Paul to come out because there was rumors flying around all day. Radio City was literally shaking.

Walsh made a mistake in the guitar solo! But that's cool.

WRONG. Paul played drums in "Dear Prudence", "Back in the USSR" and "Ballad of John and Yoko". Here are the credits:

Personnel Paul McCartney – lead vocal, piano, lead guitar, handclaps John Lennon – lead and backing vocals, lead guitar, handclaps George Harrison – six-string bass, handclaps Ringo Starr – drums, tambourine, handclaps Pattie Harrison – backing vocal, handclaps Yoko Ono – backing vocal, handclaps Mal Evans – handclaps MacDonald, Ian (2005).

This would be even more epic if John and George were still around playing but now, PM and RS are still the dynamite of the concert.

we get excited because I'm pretty sure on that moment thousands of memories went thru both ( Ringo & Paul) minds...and I can bet anything that deep inside they wish John & George will still around.

Myth: Ringo played drums for "Birthday" in the White Album.

Fact: Paul played drums for "Birthday" in the White Album.

So maybe Ringo's drumming for this song for the first time of his life, live.
