  • Another great job! Thanks for giving away so much ... a lot of it is now coming together for me since discovering you on YT a few months back. You are a really excellent teacher.

Can you recall which of your vids it is where you break up the scales and permute the internal components? You mentioned in that vid about keeping a notebook with all the variations.

    Cheers, Mark

  • Hey I think its the in all the ones having anything to do with scales or scale exercises...

  • hey the dorian scale is not d minor

  • am I missing something, seriously?

    Thanks

    J

  • as you said the dorian scale is DEFGABCD

    the d-minor scale is DEFGABbCD

but not much of a difference

    real inspiring playing man

you make the harmonica a real instrument

  • Right! but arn't there many minor scales...? Melodic Minor, Harmonic minor DORIAN minor etc....Dosen't that still make the doriand minor "A" D minor scale? I know and use the scale you tabbed out above but I wasn't aware that it was reffered to as simply the D minor scale or those intervals period as being the "minor scale"? Know what I mean? i thought every minor scale had it's own name? I'm fucked up I guess..

  • Thanks for all the theory - and the great playing. it's practical and inspiring. I'm going to find your scales videos - thank you again!

  • Found it thanks! It's your vid #36 ... so much work to do ...

  • Good to hear from you J. Been a while.

  • It's a key thing to become such badass harp player ;)

  • Why do you shave your armpits? Armpit hair catches sweat and prevents it from running down your under arms, I think you should let it grow out

  • Good Lesson. Thanks.
