GIORGIO MAMMOLITI - YouTube backlash over JARVIS Bike Lane REMOVAL at TORONTO CITY COUNCIL

After TORONTO City Councilor SHELLEY CARROLL played a YouTube video of fellow municipal politician GIORGIO MAMMOLITI's official 2009 speech supporting the implementation of cycling-safer infrastructure on Jarvis Street, other councilors weigh in on the issue.

Councilor Carroll is accused - by several of her colleagues - of seeking to "embarrass" Mr. Mammoliti by illustrating how he has apparently flip/flopped on the issue in the past two years.

Bit players here include DAVID SHINER, DAVID THOMPSON, PAULA FLETCHER, and features Speaker FRANCES NUNZIATA.

H&C suggests that any embarrassment might stem first from the words themselves, and not from their public airing on YouTube.

H&C commends Councilor Carroll for reminding all gathered just what sort of partisan farce the issue of efficient sustainable urban mobility has become in ROB FORD's TORONTO.

Although we have never discussed such an application of our video catalog with Councilor Carroll, this is exactly why HOOF&CYCLE has uploaded all these boring JARVIS STREET BIKE LANE videos over the past two years.
