  • @perther3 Good question! Generally a regular wood/metal bit will work for plaster, it'll just have a shorter life. Sometimes plaster can get very hard over time, in which case you'd need a masonry bit. Be careful not to chip all the plaster away, though. Stick a piece of scotch or masking tape directly on the wall where you want to drill and just drill right through it. This should keep the hole nice and clean, just remove the tape right after so it doesn't pull paint off. Good luck!
