Story Behind "Splitting Heels".
Well this story really speaks for itself. I had these boots re heeled in Nottingham whilst on the Iron Maiden tour of the UK we undertook in July and August. I had worn the A.S.O.S. boots from the video "A Rush to Glasgow" on my return to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Sheffield for the first leg of this Iron Maiden tour. So for the second leg I thought I wear another pair just to save the other boots from becoming even more trashed and battered than they already were. By the way you should see those boots now they are really battered.

So the F.A.X. boots came along for this leg of the tour as I had mentioned and they had to be re heeled in Nottingham because the heels had worn down so bad. They did very well but having said that I didn't wear them all of the time as I had taken a few pairs of stilettos with me, well you have to do you. You can then imagine my disappointment and disbelief when I arrived home that the stiletto heel had cracked and with that the metal heel had fell out somewhere on the way home. As I inspected closer the sides of the boots had started to split. So if anyone wants to buy these boots as worn in this video please let me know, lol.

Scene One:
I am walking down the main shopping centre street in Nottingham heading for the railway station to go on to Manchester for the next leg of the Iron Maiden Tour.

Scene Two:
We arrive at the Station and then board the train to Manchester.

Scene Three:
Arrive at Manchester and meet up with a couple of people and a lovely guy from Canada called Steve who like us was going to Iron Maiden that night. Amazingly enough happened to be staying in the same hotel as us also. So we all had a good time during and after the gig where we all ended up in Waxy O'Neills.
