I tore my meniscus in two places and tore my ACL this was done on June 4. I have been going back and forth to the doctor for my check ups due to the swelling was not going away fast enough so that I can have surgery. I recently went to the doctor this past Thursday and he stated there is still a little fluid surrounding my knee. He stated he is ready to do the surgery in about 4 wks from now. My question is to the people who had this procedure done, what is the down time?
i had the acl reconstruction using hamstring and i had meniscus repair it will be 3 months this monday and im now waiting to go in for another operation because the 1st op failed bit annoying tbh im 15 and im very lively and i also cant straighten my leg to the full extension has this ever happened to anyone??
I had An ACL and medial/lateral meniscus surgery 17 days ago and I'm doing very well! I got the stitches out yesterday and am only taking Tylenol once a day :) it did hurt a lot the first three days but now it only hurts when I do physical therapy :)
Good luck for anyone having surgery in the future! It's really not as bad as you think it will be. Do the platella graft! That's what I got and since I'm a gymnast it's the best :)
How did you tear it?
