this is a reply to our favourite chica flamenca on youtube, csybu, for her amazing lesson in rumba technique!

i woke up this morning thinking i had fractured my wrist from so much practice! seems to have got better now though (thankfully) ...

it still doesn't sound the same as edina's video, but it sounds okay! please let me know what you all think :-)

  • Yeah, it's pretty difficult. I'd suggest learning the flamenco triplet first...it's easier, and once you get it, you'll have a better idea of how these things are supposed to feel. I'd also suggest focusing on each strike. Like, start slowly, do strike 1, strke 2, etc. and then gradually build up your speed. It does sound good though...just make your strikes better and work on the hand-movement thing and you're golden.
