Iraqi filmmaker Ali Taleb finds an enclave of Iraqi gypsies that have been forced to live near a sewage plant under harsh conditions. Brought to you by the Iraq Eye Group, a collective of Iraqi filmmakers supported by the Soros Open Society Institute and the Dactyl Foundation for the Arts & Humanities.
Thank you for the subtitles so I can understand. It seems such a terrible shame that a group of people that had a custom of making music and dancing are now punished and ostracised as a result.
I am aware that music makes people dance and when people dance then this can lead people to drop their inhibitions and maybe be lead into various temptations, but not always. Music can tell stories about wrongs, rights, love, hate, prosperity and povity. Does islam not teach forgiveness & tolerance?
