im getting out of the navy in 2 months and im extremely worried about what will happen after that. i was once proud of serving my country but in the past 2-3 years i have come to hate our government and want nothing to do with it. I definatly feel like i was used. im currently getting discharged because the navy is "over manned" and they "dont need me anymnore". I have no where to go once im out. if it takes as long to get my GI bill as it has for others i will be homeless or barley getting by.
23% of our veterans are homeless. How ironic. The U.S pays 23% of the United Nations operating costs each year!!!!That money needs to go to our people. Not theirs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
veterens return with a gut wretching feeling of being used by a blood thirsty money grubbing government. I don't blame them at all for not wanting to be apart of the system anymore.
They are waiting for us to die . . Any Viet Nam Vet is now in their 60's and older ! If this goes on longer there will be none left as we shall all be dead ! I left in 1967, graduated High school in Jan 1962 . . Now you guess how old I am !
These men fought for our freedom, why is our government doing nothing to help them?
