***FYI. THIS IS A FAN FILM!!! I MADE THIS, NOT HOLLYWOOD.***

A non-canon, atmospheric look at the stylistic world of Haddonfield and it's most evil resident- Michael Myers. One of the world's most famous and deadliest slashers to ever exist, Michael can best be classified as a thrill killer: A predator who finds excitement in the art of hunting and stalking prey. And in an effort to recapture that defining moment of his life, Michael attempts to recreate his first kill, the slaying of his sister Judith, with an unsuspecting new victim.

A WORD FROM CHRIS

Funded through Indiegogo.com, Halloween Season came to life thanks to several amazingly generous people, Brandon Rimes, Aaron Bissell, Mark Monroe, Jason Eisberg, Mandy Evans, Peter Butler and Lindsee Lockwood.

In 2007 I swore off horror fan films, sighting how upset I was that all my favorite horror movies were being poorly remade and that I'd rather focus my time on original horror instead. Well I did. I made Methodic (my first feature), iPsycho, Axe Massacre and a bunch of other horror shorts. But no matter what, I still received about an email a day from people asking me to do more with Halloween. People just really seemed to love my handling of the content. So after three years of holding out, I finally gave in and decided to give it a go.

With the current state of chaos the Halloween franchise was in, I felt that there were very few positive directions to go in. I am still to this day not a fan of the remake or it's sequel, so Hoboween III was out. I didn't feel like seeing a 53 year old, extra crispy Michael hobble after some teens who might possibly be related to him in some far fetched capacity either. So I decided to just start from scratch and make something that was as far away from any of the corners the franchise had backed itself into. I immediately deduced that non-canon was the best route. It wouldn't conflict with what was and what is and would allow for me to just have some fun. My next goal was finding motivation for Michael to do his thing. Why should he give a crap? Why should we the audience give a crap? So I did some research on serial killers and learned of the various types of killers that exist. As it turns out, Michael is a thrill killer. Someone who kills for the rush of it all. And though many fans of the sequels and the Thorn saga will immediately disagree and say he was possessed by the devil or whatever, originally, when John Carpenter wrote the first script, that's what Michael was- a man disconnected from human emotion with an insatiable desire to hunt humans.

So I ran with that idea. I also learned that most thrill killers try to constantly relive their favorite kills over and over. They usually form patterns and can sometimes roll over into signature killers. For example, in the comics, the Joker's victims are always killed in some humorous way or die with a smile on their face. As for Michael, I pegged him for a recreator. Someone who wants to relive his past and savor that one defining moment of his life, over and over again. That moment would be when he killed Judith at six years old. I think that was Michael's favorite kill and I think at some point, he would want to attempt to recapture that wonderful moment for himself. And that's how I came up with my story.

As for production, I was incredibly particular about actually filming in October. I truly wanted the feel of the Fall season as a constant theme within my film. I wanted everyone watching this to feel that Mid Western Americana vibe and rekindle any of those Fall memories.... and then of course inject Michael Myers into the mix and absolutely ruin or enhance them, depending on your level of strange. Halloween Season was shot in 1 1/2 days on a budget of 380 dollars as donated by the aforementioned. Thanks to them, this film exists. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.

  • @blinky500 I'm referring to this in every halloween film. That's all. Lol. In Rob Zombie's Halloween Michael goes for different things sometimes. Are you working on any new projects? Great film.

  • This is amazing but as a halloween fan i have to be picky about some details: Event tho you handled it like a bawss, i think it would have been much more creepy/frightening if you showed less michael myers. The fact that you never knows where he is in the first film created a aspect of tension to the overall picture, the viewer don't know where he is and when he will hit. in your fan film, we see Michael Myers more than his victims and we actually knows what he's goin to do.

  • @rockinguitarist96 not dying- check! thanks dude.

  • @blinky500

well then don't plan on dying anytime soon because your films are amazing! keep on making them because it is obvious that you have loads of fans(like me) that enjoy your films and would like to see more! Awesome video!
