If you do not have prescription coverage and need prescription medications, you undoubtedly have experienced the high costs of prescription drugs. You may not be aware but most pharmaceutical companies that manufacture your medications have patient assistance programs. These special programs allow low-income persons/families receive three-month supplies of their medications at a time for a nominal fee.
In the past some doctors offered the service of completing all the required documents so that their patients could receive their medications for a nominal fee. The doctors ran into a time problem because completing the documentation and working with the pharmaceutical companies was very time consuming. It takes a lot of time and effort to complete the necessary paperwork and keeping in touch with the pharmaceutical companies. As a result, many doctors have stopped offering this service. S.P.I.N. was formed to fill this void. We will do the work for the doctors and for you, the patient.
S.P.I.N. has the application forms, professional experience and the know-how required to complete the pharmaceutical companies' documents and applications so that you can receive a three-month supply of your required medications. When you are halfway finished with your three-month supply of your medications, simply call S.P.I.N. and we will reapply you for another three-month supply. Contact S.P.I.N. to see if your medication is covered under a patient assistance program.
The necessary qualifications to receive your medications through the patient assistance program are:
INDIVIDUAL
You are a single household;
You do not have prescription coverage; and
You do not earn over $1,500.00 per month or $18,000 per year.
MULTIPLE HOUSEHOLD
You do not have prescription insurance;
You do not earn over $1,800.00 a month or $24,000 per year; and
You do not have multiple assets.
There are exceptions to these rules.
S.P.I.N has been in business since 1999 and has over 300 doctors across the nation in our program. We have call centers located all around the country.
S.P.I.N. charge a very nominal fee for completing the applications and other necessary forms provided by the pharmaceutical companies. We complete the forms for you, for your doctor and for your pharmaceutical company. We charge $50.00 for a three-month supply of 1 to 3 prescriptions and $10.00 for each additional prescription filed on the initial application. We charge the same after three months provided that you are still on the medication. Fees are subject to change as applications and documentations from the pharmaceutical companies become lengthier and more time consuming.
After you enroll and the forms are completed and mailed to the pharmaceutical companies, it takes approximately 4-6 weeks to receive your medication. You can reapply for the programs every 3 months as long as your doctor has you on the same medications and you still qualify. If a medication is added, we will do our best to ensure you get the new medication through the patient assistance programs if it is available.
