@jammiebeasts Would be interesting to know, each time I pass by on the M6 I glance down and keep an eye on whats going on. I remember tracks being there as a kid, I can still see the shunters moving trucks along that area in my minds eye.
There also seems to be some work going on around St Paul's road too, the site of the old Spear & Jackson factory area, again all visible from the M6...

@Bevoin1970 Class 50s were always rare at Bescot even in their hey day but they did pass through there once in a while. Dont think I ever saw one there myself til more recent years. Used to see them at Saltley all the time in the 1980s though. Thanks for watching mate.

@jammiebeasts I dont know anything about that, Im not clued up on all the different classes of loco, but I do know that sound, & that sound was very familiar back in & around Bescot during my naughty youthful days..LOL
BTW- Whats going on close to the steps going up to the station and Platform? Again back in the seventies, that brick building, now overgrown, as you glance down from the station steps, the area has been cleared of trees & bushes etc used to have rails, then they went, any ideas?

@Bevoin1970 I am still trying to find out what is going on there myself mate. I heard they were going to put a line in off the walsall line to run the ballasts in but someone says no. They have just upgraded the points by the station at some expense which also suggests no. But they have cleared all the trees for some reason thats for sure!
