Anna Maria Virzi, ClickZ, interviews Rachel Luxemburg, Adobe Systems Inc. during ClickZ Blogworks day at Connected Marketing Week San Francisco, 2010 on the subject of how to guide an army of bloggers to ensure appropriate guidelines are met. Rachel says the DNA of Adobe's blogging culture is both communicative and collaborative. Rachel says it is inappropriate to "kill" a blog post once published. It's OK to redact a sentence or update with a clarification but it is counter-productive to remove a post. Rachel then goes on to describe an example where an Adobe blogger wrote and published an opinionated blog post about Apple that received a great deal of press and attention. The post was not removed but the author added that the post expressed his opinion and not that of Adobe. Rachel concludes with three blogging tips for corporations seeking to guide their army of bloggers. These include: be human, be interesting, and be passionate.
