How to hack the GH1 and GH2

This is a simple video showing you how to hack your GH1 or GH2. You will need to download some files first.

Download the ptool file and the Panasonic firmware and place the two in the same folder. (Mac users can use Wine to run Ptool)

Download a preset file. There are many to choose from! For simplicity try the 4th post down by mpgxsvcd. Or, use what I've used which comes from the 8th post down by sohus. If you download his zip file and move all the .ini settings files to the same folder as the ptool software you will have the same options that I've got in the video. I recommend using Setting A or B to start with and experiment with the others if you wish.

hey brad nice video only problem i'm having is finding the firmware for gh2 to download. tried downloading 1.1 firmware update but when i try opening it up with ptools it wont work!

thanks for the video! I did everything ok until pressing play/preview... nothing happens. It only tells me there is no images to display... any clue?

Hey man, I have the firmware, wine bottler and everything on my MACBook Pro and I believe I can definitely hack my GH2 by guiding myself with this instruction and from another website that fully explains everything step by step, but few questions. Is there a possibility that the camera might suffer any damages if I do the wrong procedure? Can I return the settings back to normal if I want to? Thanks
