In this 2-part interview (audio and video), I speak with Edward L. Kimball: son of the late LDS Prophet Spencer W. Kimball. Edward Kimball is a retired law professor from Brigham Young University, and author of two biographies on Spencer W. Kimball: Spencer W. Kimball and Lengthen Your Stride, the Presidency of Spencer W. Kimball. Edward has also been an active supporter over the years of both Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought and Sunstone magazine. In this interview, we discuss:

What it's like to grow up the son of an LDS Prophet
An intimate look at Edward's impressions of President Kimball
The 1978 Blacks and the Priesthood Revelation and the Equal Rights Amendment fight within the church
Thoughts in reconciling the intellect with faith and the spirit

  • Lucifer is the God of Mormonism and Freemasonry. Mormonism was created by Freemason Joseph Smith and was created with the ritualistic structure of Freemasonry the Luciferian religion. It was created to purposely defame and discredit true Christianity just like all the Protestant denominations are doing. Ever wondered why "christianity" seemed so off and un-Christ like (antichrist)? It's because of Freemasonry and Mormonism is just one embarrassing facet of the corruption.

  • @1stcorinthians1vrs18 Years before Heart of the Matter Shawn brought up these same points at the Sunstone conference. It is pride that has blinded lds scholars and members to see that Jesus is the Almighty.

  • Jesus Christ declared that He is the way, the truth, and the life. Eternity is all about Christ and Christ alone. John 3:18,36. There is only one Savior, and He is the only God Isaiah 43:10,11 44:6-8,24 John 1:1-3,14 Philippians 2:5-11.

  • All you have to do is look through the church history. You can make a real informed decission then :).......I did not want to be wrong when I left so, I did a lot of informed research. Like church history. Just facts not 'anti' stuff :) All the best!!!

  • If you want to know how the revelation on the Priesthood was received google "Bruce R McConkie Revelation on Priesthood." Elder McConkie was present and gives an excellent description.

  • I love this video series, what a great man. He has such a pleasant manner, very thoughtful and insightful.

  • But why does any church need to be true? Or why do churches have to be close to the truth? Why are we so church centric? Why does it have to be a choice between the churches? I think we limit ourselves sometimes. Can we access God regardless of our religious tradition? And if so, why does church matter?
