PC GAMERS WITH GAMEPADS, NEED YOUR HELP! PLEASE!!!!!!

please watch the hole thing and listen to me.
title explains it, my gamepad works fine for other games but will not work correctly for this one, everything works but the d pad. whiles skating left and right both do the command left is set to, up and down both do command downs set to, while walking its the same except left and right=right and up and down=up
this occurs for my ps3 controllers and my legit game pad i just bought, not a controller problem.
also, i know the games old so don't rag on me for that, theres a legit community of players for every online tony hawk's game.
