Elvis plays one of the few classic Elvis tunes he did that night at Red Bank's own Count Basie Theatre. Totally rearranged. Good stuff. http://www.elviscostello.com/

  • This was a really great show. Too bad the audio here does it no justice.

    Still an awesome clip.

I dug the way EC responded to the drunken chick who kept screaming; "rock and roll" :)

  • I did what I could with what I had, which was hiding my camera in my lap and out of view. Also, the second row, while providing a great view, does not provide the optimal condition for audio recording.

  • he is amazing- saw him live last night taping austin city limits. i love him

  • Oh, yeah, not criticizing the recording mind you, more of a general lament.

    :)

  • Yeah--at the Beacon show it was the same--everybody went nuts for this amazingly different rendition of this great song. I feel like it was the biggest highlight of the concert (among many other highlights). Seems like this is how EIWTB should have always been sung.

  • I was at this show and this video doesn't give you the full effect of what a magical moment this was. I think the guy near the camera singing HIS own version of the song kinda ruins it. But I'm so happy someone posted this!
