How to sync a HTC Droid Eris with Windows 7 using HTC Sync

If the video dosent work for you, try this.

Disconnect phone & unistall the HTC sync program then go to device manager. Open device manager on the screen but dont do anything.

Connect phone, wait to you see it pop up in device manager. Unistall the driver, & quickly disconnect phone.

Restart pc. Once restarted, do not connect phone, get a copy of htc sync vista 32 or 64 bit drivers(search google, make sure you get the ones that match your system 32 or 64bit).

Now look in program files for the HTC folder, if not there, create it & paste the vista driver folder you downloaded in there (driver folder should be named HTC Drivers & have a sub folder called driver files with the files in it)

Now install Htc sync. After it installs, connect phone & let it install the HTC dream driver.

Go back to device manager & look for the phone. Click update driver. Manually have the pc search the vista driver folder you downloaded.

It should now update the driver and say My HTC.

@solidsnake30000000 im not sure what you mean. Or you picking which items you want to sync with the program? Also did you pick the proper option in the phones pull down menu when you connect it to the pc

I have problems with the new version, my anti-virus was off during the installation and off after the installation but my phone still fails to find HTC sync on my computer even though its still running, do you have a solution for that?

Hey, i just got this HTC wildfire, and i want to connect it to my computer thought usb so i can access internet in my mobile. But i don't know how to, and i tried to do as you did in this video but it didn't work please respond :). Sry for my bad english x)

@VIPERWOK - This is not for using the internet through your phone. This will not work for that. For you to use your phone as an internet source, you have to buy the tethering plan your phone provider offers (if they do offer one) or you have to root your phone and use a tethering app. Search google for info on rooting...
