Christy laughs after the phone call and asks Cass if she's awful. Cass laughs and tells her yes, she's awful. Christy says she can't help it, it's just that sometimes when she laughs... "It helps with the heavy stuff," Cass finishes. Frankie returns then and Cass greets her happily and tells her he missed her. Frankie says it's good that Christy stayed and that the three of them need to talk. Christy asks what it is, and Frankie says that she needs Christy to explain to her and Cass what she meant when she said that Frankie helped Douglas die. Christy says that she would never in a million years do anything to hurt her best friend in the whole world. Christy loves Frankie, and she would die before she would hurt her. Frankie and Cass are so special to Christy. Christy knows that Frankie didn't hurt Douglas. Frankie asks why Christy said it, then. Christy says maybe it was the paper Frankie wrote on euthanasia. Frankie informs Christy that that was theoretical. Christy says it was emotional too, and Frankie had just finished talking to Douglas about the right to die. Christy apologizes and says she really put her foot in her mouth this time. Frankie tells her it's okay. Frankie was surprised that Christy would even think Frankie helped Douglas die, let alone say it to her face. All Frankie did was support Douglas's decision on how TO die: with dignity, not with artificial means keeping him alive. Christy says Douglas died because it was his time to die, and she doesn't think anything else. Frankie says her feelings were hurt. Christy says she's so sorry, and no matter what Frankie believes or what she's done, Christy loves her, and so did Douglas. Maybe because of knowing Frankie, Douglas was able to let go of life when he did, and Christy honors Frankie for that.

Christy, Cass and Frankie then discuss Douglas, and what a wonderful spirit he was. They agree that they'll miss him. Christy says they'll hold him in their hearts, though, and think about him every time they see something beautiful or magical. Cass says that sounds like what Douglas would want them to do. Christy says then they should do it. They should cut out all these tragic scenes and just have air and light and comedy from now on. That's what Douglas would have wanted: life and love and wedding bells. Christy asks if she's ever going to see Frankie and Cass married. Frankie says that setting a new date hasn't been on the top of their list. Christy asks why not. There's no time like the present. Christy says she'll just run along and let Cass and Frankie plan away. Cass asks Christy if she's sure she'll be all right. Christy says she'll be fine, then tells Frankie to be happy and know that Christy loves her, and then Christy leaves.

After Christy's gone, Frankie asks what just went on in this room. Cass replies that he believes that they just witness a bravura performance of a woman who's just lost the man she loved most in the world trying to tough it out. "Is that what you think it was?" Frankie asks.

"What better way to deal with the loss of a loved one than to embrace life? Or to at least try to kickstart us into embracing it?" Cass replies. Cass asks Frankie if they should set that date. Frankie replies that she does love him, they touch foreheads, and then they hug, but Frankie looks troubled. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
