So you hate that people want others to be happy and be joyfull thats two dumb reasons to hate christmas. Christmas happens all around the world you just happen to be in one of the locations thats snows move to Hawaii. Also its the middle of the god damn year 3 more months of winter to go. So hey here is an idea instead of being depressed lets do something with family and some friends. Gets them threw the hardest 3 months ahead and thats a bad thing sounds selfish to me and its about giving.

People don't need to feel obligated to act in any way at Christmas. It's just a time to spend time with your family. It's mostly for kids though. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I do not need to impose anything.
