Uprated. Friends & family in the States couldn't understand how upset I was by the General Strike in France for about 6 weeks in late '95. No banks, post offices, doctors, hospitals, news, pharmacies, public transportation (I lost 6 weeks of pay), telephone, schools, & so on. People ran out of cash right away & the armored trucks refused to take their cash away. This sort of thing always indicates an economic uptick here but I hated it. Never forgot THAT. People DIED, too, hushed up!

The law sucks. Why couldn't Jesse Ventura get a jury trial about the TSA assaulting citizens? Obama sucks. Congress sucks. Supreme court sucks. Federal judges suck. I'm fed up with these elected and appointed officials. It's not what's good for the United States; it's what's good for their personal pocketbook.

The S&P Ratings service accidentally released a message on Thursday saying France's AAA credit status had been downgraded, it resulted in a spike in France's bond yields (indicating fear of French default). French officials are demanding an investigation into the mistake, but some analysts are pointing out that the fact that the message accidentally went out indicates that the ratings agencies are working on an eventual downgrade. That's the insane world we live in fellas'.

@26libertarian yup, zimbabwe had too much physical paper cash in circulation, the circumstance we are in now is in digital form, and digital money can be destroyed, underwritten, defaulted on with much ease and it just disappears.

also, zimbabwe hyperinflated becuz nobody wanted its currency. and as long as a country does larges amounts of commerce and trade, then its currency is valuable and needed for the commerce. the US GDP is 13 trillion, how much gdp does Zimbabwe produce?

From what I've heard, only 3% of our dollars are in actual physical cash; the remaining 97% is in electronic form. I'd hate to be a bank teller during that clusterf**k...
