GEAR: I was thinking the same thing. I even have the links below for anyone who wants to peruse Sen. Paul's proposal in detail. It even attempted to rein-in defense spending. The Marxists usually use the 'you're not cutting defense" excuse to walk away from the table (because we all know they're not serious about reforming entitlements, it's just an excuse), Rand wanted to cut the fat there too. So I am flabbergasted as well. There are a number of GOP Sens. that need to retire or be primaried.
