The 2009 Best of the South issue of The Oxford American features the article "My Cheesy Passion" by longtime OA food columnist John T. Edge. In his piece, Edge pays tribute to Sweet Home Farm in Elberta, Alabama, where the husband-and-wife team of cheesemaker Alyce Birchenough and dairy farmer Doug Wolbert have perfected their art. This piece delves into the history of the farm and the art of fine cheesemaking.
