This is an interview with Elaine Teo Mosimann at the Steinway Gallery Singapore.
At the age of 5, Elaine's father bought her and her brother a Steinway Model V and 3 years later another Steinway Model B.
During this interview, Elaine told us about her intimate relationship with her 2 Steinway Pianos and how her success story has evolved after her father made the investment on 2 Steinway Pianos right from the start.
Her achievements include:
Piano competitions in Singapore and abroad - 2nd prize in the under-12 age category for the Singapore Music Teachers' Association piano competition in 1987 (aged 10), and the 1st prize in the under-12 age category for piano performance in the Singapore National Music Competition in 1988 (aged 11).
Performer's Certificate from the Royal Schools of Music, the Advanced Certificate from the Trinity College of Music, and the Licentiate from the Trinity College of Music (LTCL) which she completed when she was 16.
She was awarded the prestigious UWC scholarship. Up to 200 Singaporeans apply per year and out of which only 5 on average are awarded per year. It is worth between S$60,000 to S$80,000 and is bond-free.
