@GrisTipss its to make it harder so that when you are putting all of the other clay on top of it (scap clay and frosting) it doesnt get smushed or mishappened. =) hope this helped!

aww was looking forward to the end result :( good idea to make the bases in bulk and put them in the freezer. i was having a hell of a time making a base without squishing it.
