Elemetr..the reason I don't do that, is very simple. "Chronology". You know the doctrine of 'abrogration' ? "If we cause you to forget a verse, we will give you a better one" ?

When a later part of the Quran contradicts an earlier..(the peaceful parts) the later over-rules the earlier.

Also.. this verse (9:29) was used after mohammad's death to justify invasions.

Only when Western critics raise this issue.. do Muslims defend as you did.

Quran must be take as a total not chosing the parts which serve your mistaken theory you need to read about the islamic history by a fair writer. the world is missing the islamic perfect state read about Omar Ibn El Khattab and how he treat with the jews whom were citizens and his fair to them no differents between the Calif and any citizen else even if he was nonmuslim. be fair tell the full truth and read more about islam

If that was the case then you face 'contradictions' which, according TO the Quran makes it not from God.

So..if it says "Do A" and then later it says "Don't do A" .. you have a problem.

I think your idea of a 'fair' writer is one who selects the GOOD parts of Hadith and Ibn Ishaq while rejecting the 'bad' parts :)
