Did you not watch the video? There's nothing being transmitted - they download the database from CPIC and ICBC and it's stored locally in the car. There's no 3rd party involved. It's not used for tracking purposes either.

It can be used to track everyone, and what if the personal data is transmitted to a third part server that has nearly unlimited recording capabilities ?? What about privacy protection ?
