I think he's telling the truth and some people can't stand it. The truth may be offensive, but it does not make it less true.

You do realize those are the feelings of a fictional character in a novel, yes?
For example, in college I wrote a short story about a serial killer. In the story, the killer describes all women as playthings and slabs of meat. That doesn't mean *I* think women are meat, even though I wrote it. It means the *character* I created thinks of women as meat.
You don't seem to understand novels, sir. If an author writes a racist character, it doesn't mean the author is racist.
