My first attempt at an upload for youtube. Couldn't find my favourite track from the LP "Escape Artist" here, which I bought in 1981, so I did something about it. Only had the LP cover as picture material. Enjoy this great artist!

Well, so am I, at 56. Maybe that's one reason I like it so much ;-). But when you look around at kids these days: "...and get them a piece of the glory" - dated? "I dedicate this album to the continuing fight against racism" - dated? I believe good songs - and this is one - reach far beyond their own time. This is very different from being an "oldie" fan, which I'm not.

Garland Jeffries should have become a much bigger success story. His voice is great, looks excellent & his material compelling at times. I just can't figure this music industry that believes it knows better than we do. You have to promote in order to let the public become aware. Cat Stevens and Robert Palmer had to try twice to succeed. I guess they got it all wrong the first time eh? Not all get a second chance.
