  • You destroy any hope of showing resistance when you "flick" your wrist heavily as a precursor to each following beat. Resistance must be shown not only ON the note, but especially BETWEEN the notes to achieve the desired effect. You have some nice weight in the tip of your baton for about 75% of each note, then you cast off the weight, likely causing an ensemble confusion and stylistic dissonance.
