I'm going to need to cut the fabric by hand. How large was your cloth off to start? 18 inches by what?

I measured another Ikea kitchen towel and got a measurement of 19"x26". 19 inches makes for a really long prefold. I prefer about 14" finished. For me, that is what fits into pocket style diapers best. The 26" measurement is also a bit narrow. Up it to about 29" if you can. They will fit around your little one a bit better.

You can always measure an existing prefold diaper. ;)

I found a newborn prefold that measures 11X11, so how much allowance would I need for seems when making the prefold with those (11x11) dimensions?! I would much rather make my own if possible than buy them! Loved your video...so far best I have seen?? I am thinking of using old t-shirts to make them. Any other suggestions?! Shld I still add a different material for the middle? Thanks so much!!
