@dazza08989898 Peter O'Toole first.
-
@pinkbubblebath he did that one for the money, he said so on inside the actor's studio.
-
@dazza08989898 yet

I wonder why he didn't mention the 1991 classic, HARLEY DAVIDSON AND THE MARLBORO MAN. He's a great actor, but also a bit of an idiot.
-
I've been a huge fan since Diner and was right with him up to Barfly, which, IMO, was one of his best performances. He lost me somewhere between Wild Orchid and Buffalo 66. I love his work in The Pledge, Spun, Sin City and of course The Wrestler. The only thing that makes me cringe, however, are all the dorks who jumped on the bandwagon after The Wrestler. Most of those idiots had no idea who he even was until the academy awards. Suddenly, he becomes untouchable

mickeys the real thing. Hes the most talented actor out there. he stole scenes with de niro or nicholson.
-
he got something after the wrestler but i don't think it was an oscar it was some king of award
-
I would not be surprised if Mickey co-authors a bio on LA/Hollywood. They settle for, "mediocrity." The Clooney's, Pitt's, Jolie's are celebrities, who lack sincere at depth acting talent. And then there is Rourke.
-
"clean up your public image"????
It's because he doesn't have such weak wristed sentiments that he is the man and you are a shmuuck
-
Love your interviews, you show your real self. We love you and do not want you to
mess up. Please clean up your public
image. Love all your movies, I am trying to
see them all. You are a great actor.

nightimer, I think Mickey talks about being a poster boy or doing commercial film work where as he's always been sort of a product of the American art house films, his films never were successfull financially I don't think but most of them were works of art and you really see how great of an actor he is in some of this (Barfly, Rumble Fish).
He just opted not to do the Die Hards and whatnots of the time and he was basically forgotten, or ignored.
