@Danwell100 Actually, James has been the main songwriter for Metallica for years. Lars contributes a lot of arrangement ideas and that kind of stuff. Everything else about your post I agree with.

@Danwell100 Look through the band's history. Lars started Metallica. No Lars, no Metallica. Lars met James through the NWOBHM. Even Megadeth got it's start because of Metallica dumping Dave, and Dave was part of Metallica for some time until they dumped him. Cliff came with his own class. Cliff is totally irreplaceable, no matter what anyone says...

Lars is totally cool. I don't understand why people have a problem with him anyway. he is freakin' awesome. I love to listen to him talk...he's a funny guy and smart too. He's fun to watch...love those cute faces he makes when he is into the music. He's got such a sweet smile <3 a nice, kind personality...Metallica is... because of Lars! Metallica wouldn´t exist without Lars! He helped to write EVERY Metallica song except Motorbreath, The Four Horsemen, Pulling Teeth, Jump in the Fire and My friend of Misery.

People just seem to hate on Lars because hes not the best drummer in the world, and what does it matter if hes not, he's still a damn fine drummer, everytime i see a metallica video its just 'Get rid of lars he sucks', or 'Get portnoy', Lars is one of the main song writers, without him they wouldnt have half of the songs they have
