i think you are getting mixed up with the terms 'recon" and 'sniping'. they are VERY different. in bf: bc2 you are a recon not a sniper!

Recon: AKA scout, is someone who hides in the brush from long distances (camps). His primary objective is to spot and locate enemy infentry and vehicles for his teamates to take out. Should only shoot when it is his or his teams tactical advantage, like an enemy capturing a flag. YOu should use your mic to communicate too. Sniper: Shoots anything that moves.

I like snipers/recons because to me they're like ninjas. They use their camo to their advantage. Personally, I use both my camping and cqb skills. (example) I use my Ghillie suit to blend in to my surroundings while capturing a flag. It's fun to watch enemies run around and try to figure out wth is going on. I use my rifle to pick off other snipers and to cover my teammates from afar effectively.
