Grey pigeons that sh*t everywhere and cost alot of money to clean up after or BRIGHT green parrots that eat wine grapes and don't bother me? errrr obviously money from british wine is more important then living in a place with natural beauty? We have these birds all over my decrepit brixton estate and they make me smile every time i see them. maybe someone should cull you, dunce.

I've never heard of this but I'm not that surprised. There are wild parrots in San Francisco. Years ago I saw a small flock flying and pointed them out. The date I was on thought I was crazy.

Go parakeet go, I am so glad they survive outside their domestic environment.
In this lady they have a great defender and I am at the site of the Parakeet too.
I would say, 1-0 for the Parakeet... ;-)

Am. Crayfish is a problem... but the latest thinking is that the Red Squirrel is not displaced directly by the Grey....more that the Grey moves in as the Reds retreat anyway.

thats right about squirels. the grey are just more robust than a red squirrel, Grey squirrels can survive from far more varieties of trees than red ones. Its our fault for less red squirels.

That roost was cut down I think (it was in Hersham, not Esher)
