In the 1960s and 1970s, I used to LOVE me some Soupy Sales AND Gino's Hamburgers, especially the Gino Giant!! And of course Gino's Hamburgers really did disappear in the early 1980s, but I don't think Soupy had anything to do with it (the ones in the DC area seemed to turn into Roy Rogers, which sold some tasty fried chicken)...
Gino's ROCKS! I LOVE Gino Marchetti (#89).....

@PoppyKeith It won't be long until they start airing commericals. Likely when the Philadelphia Phillies start playing again, since Gino's WAS their sponsor in the 1970's. There will be more restaurants opening next year. There's also some talk about a few opening in malls.

For some strange reason, comments were disabled under the commercial from the "feeling good" campaign. Some thought the music was a rip off of "Rocky" since most of the actors were running in their fantasy sequences. Even the Colonel did one, dancing around a field and giving a thumbs up. That's where it got plain silly, just like the currently new "this little piggy" ad from Geico.

Do you think that would be the same outfit the Gino Genie (played by the late Dom Deluise) would wear in 1970's Gino's TV commercials?
