No gum, no lozenge, no patches, no inhalers, no eCigarettes, no Chantix, no nothing. Just cold turkey, a strong mind, meditation, and knowledge that I am done with nicotine.

  • I hope you stuck with it... I had smoked 2 packs a day for 23 years, I started when I was 12 years old... I too had tried everything. NONE of it worked. At first I used a patch, with some string to tie and some gum and good old fashion stubborn determination. I have been smoke free since May 18th. Still going strong without any "nrc" Stay away from chantix. That stuff is insane... You just gotta break up with them, like a bad girlfriend. Its like getting out of a bad relationship :)

  • I quit 22 years ago, still consider it a major milestone. I would never ever do that to myself again.

  • How are you doing so far? I stumbled across your clip and since I do energy healing, I was quite impressed on your clip about healing with your mind. A very good technique. To help you detox, take sip of warm saturated sea salt water and while swishing, rub your gums towards your teeth. After a while, spit thoroughly and repeat. The salt soaks in toxins physical and spiritual. First time 30 min, then 15 daily. Don't miss a day for 3 wks or it will cause problems. Google for teeth-body connects

    About the addiction; nicotine replaces the mechanism within your body [eating food], to release glucose into the blood stream and thus provide your brain its main energy source. If you've ever noticed, you've probably gone easily through long periods of time during the day and not felt hungry, this is because nicotine is now used in your body to release glucose into the blood. It takes five days or so of no nicotine for the body's natural mechanism to work properly again.

  • hi rob, good job on quitiing smoking. u will made it i know that. i did it too. i started when i was 13 y old, now i am 19 i quit 4 months ago. i cannot understand why ppl actually smoke, same for why ppl eat meat.

    U can do it, u know that. Just dont think about it.

    Since i dont smoke i can sing much better;) and i can run much longer;) and i smell much better;)

    about 2 hours ago my best friend said to me "FUCK OFF and eat your broccoli fucking hippie", while he was drunk.
