I loved 2008 Olympics a bit better than London ! The feeling the crowd , the cheering the ENERGY , AND of course THE COMPETITION IT SELF WAS AMAZING , FIERCE ! Even watching this gives this feeling , the crowd is awesome cheering for every athlete , the commentators r TOTTALY AWESOME AND ETC , ps I LOVEEE Shawn and Nastia both r amazing but in their own way !

when compare her with most gymnasts in balance beam at that time or even now, i still dont see anyone could perform in such a real artistic way as she did. so enjoyable to watch ! ! !

It all comes down to what the judges like...shawn is far from boring...sorry. both nastia and shown are just about perfection....but in different styles. Nastia is elegant and has great difficulty. Shawn is not quite as elegant but she has extreme difficulty. There will never be a direct science to scoring gymnastics. Yes, the 2013-2018 scoring system will help a little...but bottom line is it WILL ALWAYS BE JUDGES OPINIONS...THEY ALL HAVE REQUIRED ELEMENTS OR THEY WOULDN'T BE THERE

Lol....when you've got the difficulty that shawn has in this routine, how can you complain about her "hop on". Wow.."the American hop on took the gold" so I guess u can not like it all you want....IT WON GOLD!!

Very much agreed. London beam finals looked plain scary, you catch yourself sitting there just hoping they don't break their necks.
