  • Hi. Now that YouTube allows long videos, what about posting the complete (17 min) medley?

  • @RenaissancePrologue

Great idea. I might just do that if no one else has beaten me to it. :)

  • You need to hear this song off of their "Tales from 1001 Nights". FAR and away more mysterious and deep than Blackmore's Night version. This vid does not do justice to how wonderfully they recorded this song which after all they wrote. Here, it is squeezed into the medley, truncated, and not particularly well played by their standards. They were a '70's band and may have been a bit past their prime here also. FIND THAT VERSION and then decide!!

  • Without the symphony orchestra and w/o John Tout on keyboards; the depth is lost. Still, I enjoy this version a lot. Yes, they were on a decline here but an interesting era for the band. At least Jon Camp was still in the band. And, Annie's voice is still fantastic!

  • Thank you. I don't think anybody has ever posted the complete medley (Opening Out, Song of Scheherazade, Ocean Gypsy, Can You Understand, Touching Once). Another question: have you ever seen the version of Northern Lights at The Mike Douglas Show?

  • My first rock concert that I was in , was Renaissance concert in 1977/78 in Israel , Haifa town

It was holiday for Rock lovers in Israel

The concert was in Romema basketball hall in Carmel mountan,

It was the best moment in my life

    Lord!

  • Old guys rule. I saw the Moody Blues on PBS recently and they were tearin' stuff up!

  • Fantastic voice!!!!!! seen them a few times in the Philly area in the '70s. I seen them when they toured for this album and did the whole album live at the Tower theater in Upper Darby, PA Never forget it!!

  • I had such a mad crush on her then... in spite of that, I still think she had one of the best voices of my generation.

  • Kind of like YES. Annie and Jon Anderson should've done some works together.
