I love the "uh" at the end of it. Still rocks more than any Beatles song; even "Helter Skelter" has nothing on this.
John & Yoko had music writer Robert Palmer over, and John asked him if he knew "Why," "O Wind," and "Midsummer New York." Palmer sheepishly had to admit he didn't. They suddenly broke into howls of celebratory laughter. 'He hasn't heard it yet!' they were shouting at each other. They gave him her records, and John said, "You know, this is my favorite stuff of anything I've done."
