shubha Mudgal is EXTREMELY ORDINARY singer ... she has many LIMITATIONS... MAY BE she got publicity because of her good marketing skills... there are many more talented artists than her... she generally sings folk tunes so that general audience appreciate rhythm and words...

She is to our generation what Bade Ghulam Ali Khan ji was to my father's and grandfather's. She has a very dynamic style, very spontaneous, and she has done more to bring in younger people into Hindustani classical fold than any other artist of her generation. More power to her.
